Accessibility statement

Accessibility standard

We aim for the website to conform to Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, as required by Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013. We reviewed the site ourselves on September 27, 2026 — a review of its code and a measurement of its color contrast; it has not yet been audited by an external accessibility expert.

What we have done on the website

• •Every page declares its language and text direction; Hebrew and Arabic are displayed right to left.
• •Every page has the same structure — header, navigation, main content and footer regions, one main heading and ordered subheadings — so screen-reader users can move between regions and headings.
• •Links, buttons, form fields, the language menu and the expandable FAQ answers are standard HTML controls that work with a keyboard and show a visible focus indicator.
• •Every field in the contact form and in the calorie calculator has a visible label, and the language menu has an accessible name.
• •Decorative images and icons are hidden from screen readers; the App Store badges have text alternatives, and every screenshot in the home page gallery describes what the screen shows.
• •Body text, secondary text, links, buttons and highlighted numbers meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio in both the dark theme (the default) and the light theme. The site follows your device's light or dark setting.
• •Scroll-in effects, the rotating screenshots at the top of the home page and the demo's scanning animation stop when your device's reduce-motion setting is on, and the rotating screenshots have a pause button.
• •The layout adapts to narrow screens and to browser zoom, and text is sized in relative units. The site has no time limits, no flashing content and no audio or video.
• •A "skip to content" link is the first stop on every page.
• •Screen readers announce the results of the home page demo and of the calorie calculator, and the contact form's confirmation or error; the calculator's buttons say which option is selected.
• •Pages opened from shared links declare the language they are shown in, the care-circle charts have a text summary, and every field of the meal-plan editor has a label.

Known limitations

After our review of September 27, 2026 we know of no remaining barriers on the website. It has not yet been audited by an external accessibility expert, so if something gets in your way, please tell us (see below).

• •Pages opened from shared links set their language as they load; until then — usually a fraction of a second — they declare English.

Accessibility of the apps

• •iPhone and iPad: custom controls have VoiceOver labels; most text uses the system text styles, so it follows the text size you choose (Dynamic Type), except a few fixed-size elements such as large numbers and some icons; the app respects Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast, and Hebrew and Arabic are laid out right to left.
• •Android: icons and buttons have TalkBack descriptions — an automated check in our build fails if an icon-only button has none; text follows the system font size, and Hebrew and Arabic are laid out right to left.
• •Apple Watch and Wear OS: the watch apps rely on the built-in accessibility features of the systems and have not yet been reviewed in detail.
