Talk to us
The fastest way is the feedback screen inside the app (Settings › Feedback) — you can attach screenshots, and it includes the version details that help us diagnose. You can also email us; we aim to reply within 2–3 days.
Frequently asked questions
+ Is my data really private?
Yes. Your meals, photos and measurements are stored and processed only on your device. There are no user accounts and no analytics collection. The only things sent to us are what you explicitly choose to send — like reporting a missing product.
+ Does it work offline?
Yes. The AI model and barcode databases live on your device, so photo analysis, scanning and logging work even on a plane. Internet is only needed for the initial download of the model and databases.
+ Which languages are supported?
Hebrew, English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Indonesian, Amharic and Simplified Chinese — including food names, voice recognition and allergen alerts.
+ How do I cancel my subscription?
In your device settings: Apple ID › Subscriptions › Anoteo › Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
+ Is this medical advice?
No. Anoteo is a tracking tool, and its nutrition estimates are estimates only. Consult a professional before health decisions, and never rely on allergen alerts instead of reading the package.
+ How much storage does the AI model need?
The built-in model takes about 2 GB. Optional models (1–5 GB) can be downloaded and deleted anytime in Settings › AI, and offline barcode packs take a few dozen MB per country.
+ Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad on a recent OS version, Macs with Apple silicon, and Apple Watch as a companion. A newer device gives faster on-device analysis.
+ What's the difference between the AI models?
Smaller models (2B) are faster and lighter; larger ones (4B) are more accurate. The AnoteoAI Vision models also analyze photos. Switch anytime in Settings — everything stays on-device.
+ How do I switch from MyFitnessPal or Cronometer?
Export a CSV from the other app, then choose Settings › Privacy › Import CSV history. Dates, calories and macros are detected automatically and appear in your history.
Deleting your data
All your data lives on your device — deleting the app deletes it completely. If you sent us a product or feedback and want it removed, write to us and we'll remove it.
